Robert Frederick Perry, age 80, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and sons.
Born on February 8, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, Robert was the son of the late Oak and Helen (Sack) Perry.
Robert honorably and proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and commitment to others. He carried those values with him throughout his life, both personally and professionally.
A dedicated entrepreneur, Robert spent his career in computer sales and repair as the founder of Perry Technology. His integrity, expertise, and loyalty to his customers earned him the respect and admiration of many in his community.
On February 25, 2010, he married the love of his life, Kathleen Perry. Together they built a home filled with warmth, humor, and compassion—a place where family always came first and every visitor felt welcome.
Robert had a lifelong passion for caring for animals in need. He devoted countless hours to adopting and fostering elderly or abused dogs, giving them comfort, safety, and unconditional love. His home was a sanctuary for animals who needed a second chance.
He was also a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 35 years. His commitment to recovery was matched by his desire to support and uplift others, and he touched many lives through his compassion, honesty, and quiet strength.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen Perry; his sons Timothy, Richard, and Stephen; and his grandchildren Jon, Chris, Alyssa, Ethan, and Lexi. He is also survived by his daughters-in-law, Bernadette and Sharon Perry; his cherished pets Larry, Sara, Jay Jay, and Sophie; his sisters Rita, Sue, and Sandra; his brother Mike; and his former wife, Beverly Perry.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to family, his courage, and his unwavering love for the animals he cared for throughout his life.
