Robert Paul O'Sullivan's Obituary
Robert Paul O'Sullivan, a man whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Born on September 18, 1954, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Robert's journey through life was one of dedication, love, and genuine friendship. He passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, in Delaware.
Although he graduated from Junction City High School due to being called away for military service during the Vietnam war, Tolman High School was forever in his heart. After his military service, Robert embarked on a long and respected career as a construction truck driver for over 30 years, spending most of those years with the Hallamore Corporation and proudly standing as a member of the Teamsters union to end his career.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Robert and Eileen (O'Driscoll) O'Sullivan, and his brother, Benjamin. His legacy continues through his former wife, Susan O'Sullivan; his sons, Ryan and Patrick; his brother, Kevin; and his sisters, Mary Skurka, Eileen Brierley, and Kathleen Marchand. His life was further enriched by the companionship of lifelong friends, Kenny & Nancy Tumidsjski, Gayle Turgeon, and close friend Karen Alexander.
Retiring to Delaware full time two years ago, Robert relished the warm weather and the opportunity to indulge in his passion for lawn and yard work. A devoted Patriots fan, he loved sports and was known for his ability to fix anything that needed repair. He was further enriched by his friendship of new neighbors Ron Diamond and Wayne, as well as his beloved dachshund, Callie.
Described as a social butterfly, Robert Paul O'Sullivan's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed.
