Robert Arthur Newpher Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Arthur Newpher Sr., age 73, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 20, 2024, following a brief illness. He was born on July 24, 1951, in Reading, PA, to Harry George Newpher and Sarah Jane Davies Newpher.
A proud graduate of Wilson High School in West Lawn, PA, class of 1969, Robert went on to become a dedicated steelworker at Carpenter Technology Corporation. He married the love of his life, Judy Lynn Rothenberger, on November 13, 1976, and together they shared a beautiful life for nearly five decades.
Robert enjoyed many hobbies, including watching wildlife on webcams, especially bears, eagles, and falcons. He also cherished afternoons spent on the Cape May/Lewes Ferry with Judy, and he had a passion for finding new restaurants that he could share with family and friends.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Newpher of Georgetown, DE; his son, Robert A. Newpher II, daughter-in-law, Kristin Newpher; and his grandchildren, Cort J., Kayden E., and Kiana J., all of Reading, PA. He is also survived by his daughter, Krystan Newpher of Beaverton, OR. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Sarah Jane Newpher.
Robert’s kindness, love for his family, and joyful spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
