Robert B. Morton's Obituary
Robert B. Morton age 85 of Lewes,DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Renaissance Healthcare Center in Millsboro. He was born in Washington,DC, on Saturday, June 13, 1925, son of the late David P. and Rose (Sherzer) Morton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Raffo) Morton in 1995, one daughter, Cheryl Neal in 1995 and several brothers and sisters.
Robert lived in Lewes for the past 22 years, coming from the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. He worked for the US Post Office in DC, first in the printing department and retired as a manager.
Robert proudly served in the Navy during World War II and received a purple heart.
He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
Surviving is his son, Donald W. Morton of Bowie, MD and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood MD, 20722, at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
