Robert J. Kee's Obituary
Robert (Rob) Kee, of Lewes Delaware, passed away in his home on March 27th, 2018, due to heart complications. He was 62 years old. Robert was born August 30th, 1955 in Youngstown, Ohio, son of the late Robert Kee and Mary Ellen Gillie.
Graduating from Campbell Memorial High School in 1973, he later went on to marry Rose Marie Cutrone on July 25th, 1981. The couple then moved to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he raised a son Richard Kee, and later a daughter, Dominique (Nikki) Kee.
Robert was an avid freshwater fisherman, finding enjoyment out of catching Large Mouth Bass in many of the lakes, ponds, and rivers on the Eastern Shore, as well as participating in many tournaments. He also took pleasure in the sport of bowling as he had since he was a child, participating in leagues and tournaments in Millsboro and Milford Lanes throughout his time in Delaware and being proud of multiple 300 games.
Robert touched many lives during his time on this Earth and many friends can recall what an honest, selfless, caring, and hard-working man he was, who always had a smile on his face and persevered through any obstacle in his path.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rose Marie Kee; his son, Richard M. Kee; his daughter, Dominique L. Kee; his brother, William G Kee; his sister, Cheryl Kee-Mongold; and his two grandsons: Richard M. Kee II, and Kyle J. Kee. Robert loved and was loved by many in-laws, nieces and nephews, co-workers, friends, and countless others who didn’t know he was the gentleman holding the door, or nodding and smiling as a warm gesture or greeting.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive; Lewes Delaware, where friends may visit to celebrate Robert’s life at 10:00 AM. A merciful luncheon will follow.
