I just found out about Bob's passing and am very saddened and shocked to hear this news. I often regretted not staying in closer touch with Bob over the years as I always enjoyed the times I spent with him. He was a good guy, smart, kind and generous. I remember going to see him play ball and how hard he played. I remember when I was very young and he was in the service, he sent me coins from europe for my coin collection. I still have those coins! I remember my visit to his home in NY and digging in his yard, I remember him playing piano and yes the accordian too. It was obvious to anyone who knew him that Bob loved life. Please know that I am thinking of you all and send my sincerest sympathy.
