My wife Vee and I met Bob at a neighbor's picnic dinner. We had a great time sharing stories, with Bob's adventures being much more interesting than ours. One thing I learned from Bob was when buying lottery tickets, always buy the Power Ball "power play" and Mega Million "multiplier". He made us a believer, but we never hit the big one. After that encounter, I would run into Bob while walking my little dog Guinness. We would talk about what was going on in Mill Pond Acres, and Bob would educate me on our neighborhood as well as the one across the pond from his house as Bob was one of the original settlers in the neighborhood. When we met, Bob knew that Vee and I loved to go "up the road" (that meant Harrington in code) so he would ask if we had been recently and, if yes, how we did. When Bob would "go up the road" he would usually come back in much better shape than we ever did (he had the knack). As time went on, both Guinness and I would look forward to meeting Bob, with Guinness getting a little pat on the head from Bob, and I would enjoy our very informative discussions. Also, every time we walked by Bob's house, Guinness would look up, migrate toward Bob's garage in hope of doing a little socializing. I would do the same in hopes that Bob would be out in the yard. Bob was a very joy to be around, a very interesting person and always exuding a positive attitude.
Bob, we thank you for the little time we spent together. Vee and I, as well as Guinness, will miss you greatly.
