Robert Armand Hammond's Obituary
Robert Armand Hammond, also known as "Bart" and "Bob," age 61, of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Kennett Square, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at his residence with his friends John, John and Dana by his side.
Robert was an avid gardener with a tremendous talent for landscape design. His career in sales included: Gimbels Department Store, Strawbridge & Clothier and Baker Knapp & Tubbs. He retired from Baker Knapp & Tubbs in 2004 when he relocated to his favorite place, Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother Mary Miller Hammond and his father Robert Arrison Hammond, and his sister, Joy Hammond Breckheimer. Bob is survived by his good friends John Glenstrup, John Black and the 11 year old Great Dane, Dana. He is also survived by the Alderfer family of Pennsylvania.
In keeping with Quaker tradition and at Bob's request, services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes, DE.
