Robert G. Dobak's Obituary
On July 22, 2020, Robert "Bob" Dobak, loving father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Lewes, DE.
Bob was born on March 23, 1943 in Plainfield, NJ. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1961 and then proudly served in the United States Army for 4 years. Bob and his family owned a trucking business in Warren, NJ. In 1969 he married his late wife, Elsie Henry, and together they raised their son Robert. They moved to Delaware where he worked at the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club for 35 years while also owning his own lawn care company.
Bob loved to travel but his real joy came from watching his grandsons compete in various sporting activities, always cheering from the sidelines. He was an avid supporter of Saint John’s University basketball. Bob was also a member of Conley's United Methodist Church.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marion Dobak and his wife, Elsie Dobak. He is survived by his twin brother, Richard Dobak and his wife Donna; his son, Robert Dobak and his wife Kristi; his step son, Walter Immesberger; and his grandsons, Michael and Mason Dobak.
Bob will be laid to rest at a private ceremony in Baskin Ridge, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Bob's memory to the Tunnell Cancer Center, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
