Robert Paul Comeau's Obituary
Robert Paul Comeau, age 76 of Milton, DE passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Thursday, February 9, 2023, following a nine - year battle with frontotemporal dementia. He was born on August 30,1946, in Somerville, MA, son of the late Paul and Albina (Vezina) Comeau.
Mr. Comeau was a graduate of Somerville High School, in MA, class of 1964. On June 30, 1984, he married the love of his life, Meg (Crist) Comeau in Winchester, MA, and they shared 38 beautiful years together. In 1987, they welcomed their daughter Sarah. Nothing in the world gave Mr. Comeau more joy than being Sarah’s dad and they were devoted to each other. Mr. Comeau enjoyed a long career as a department manager at United Electric Controls CO. in Watertown, MA, retiring after 40 dedicated years.
He had many interests and hobbies, including photography, and playing tennis. Mr. Comeau could often be found watching baseball and rooting for his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox. He loved walking on the beach in Rockport with Meg and Sarah, where they lived for several years. More than anything. Mr. Comeau treasured time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend. Loved by many, he will be forever missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Mr. Comeau is survived by his beloved wife, Meg Comeau of Milton, DE; his daughter, Sarah; his sisters: Ellen Bowman of Pelham, NH, Jean Farraher (George) of Ocala, FL; his sister-in-law, Jackie May (Keith) of Camden/Wyoming, DE; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 200 2nd St, Lewes, DE 19958. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall, to which all are invited.
