Robert Wilbur Ball's Obituary
Robert Wilbur Ball, age 85, of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. He was born Saturday, May 16, 1931 in Queens, NY, son of the late, Charles and Anna (Castle) Ball.
Mr. Ball was a member of the Zoar United Methodist Church in Millsboro, DE. He worked for many years as a Sales Engineer for his family business, Ball & Jewell Inc.
Mr. Ball was a member of the U.S. Power Squadron. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, sailing and boating and woodworking. Mr. Ball was a true family man. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ball was preceded in death by his son, William Ball and his sister, Marion Almeida. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Geraldine Ball of Lewes, DE; his three children: Robert M. Ball and his wife, Pat of Odessa, DE, Audrey Marciniszyn and her husband, Stephen of Millsboro, DE and Barbara Marsh of Middletown, DE; his nine grandchildren: Amanda, Rachel, Evan, Tracy, Erik, Heather, Madalyn, Will and Angela; five great granddaughters: Emily, Abigail, Sophie, Zoe and Evie; and his daughter-in-law, Susan Ball.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016, at 2:30 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may visit beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the services at St. Peter's Cemetery, Pilottown Road, Lewes, DE.
Memorial contributions may be made to in lieu of flowers to the Zoar United Methodist Church, 24463 Gravel Hill Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966.
