Richard Woinski's Obituary
Richard Woinski, age 67, of Lewes, DE passed away at home on Friday, July 8, 2016. He was born on Thursday, March 10, 1949 in Poplawy, Poland, son of the late Anthony and Jenie (Kiersnowska) Woinski.
Mr. Woinski had a passion for anything mechanical. He loved boating, fishing, water sports and water skiing. He also enjoyed going on vacation and sailing. More than anything, Mr. Woinski was a family oriented man and loved being very involved in his children’s sports activities. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Woinski was preceded in death by his sister, Hedwig Zak and his two brother's in law, Eric Siekierski and Ted Zak. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Catherine (Gebura) Woinski of Lewes, DE; his son, Justin R. Woinski; his two daughters, Jacqueline C. Woinski and Jenny T. Woinski; his mother in law, Teresa Siemak-Gebura; his father in law, Miroslaw Gebura; his brother in law, Tomasz Gebura; his brother, John Woinski and his wife, Catherine; and his two sisters, Irene Siekierski and Mary Kowalski and her husband, Lech.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may call beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
The family would like to thank all the staff, doctors, nurses at The Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in Philadelphia and Compassionate Care Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. They also want to thank all of Mrs. Woinski's co-workers at the inpatient rehab at Milford Memorial Hospital for their unwavering support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woinski Children's College Fund Acccount, at County Bank, Lewes Branch, 1609 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958, to help establish a college fund for Mr. Woinski’s children.
