Richard N. Thomas' Obituary
Richard N. Thomas, age 80 of Milton, DE passed away at his residence on Friday, April 26, 2019. He was born on August 25, 1938 in Cambridge, MD, son of the late Ronald W. and Eunice (Mills) Thomas.
Mr. Thomas retired from the DuPont Company after 36 years as an accountant. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth. In his spare time, Mr. Thomas enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. He loved his cars and was known as a great cook. Mr. Thomas greatly enjoyed and was loved by his dogs: Gus, Duke, Dillon and Brey.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Thomas and his sister, Charlotte Thomas Abell. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joan Gracey Thomas; three sons: Richard Neal, Jr. and his wife, Janet, Jeffrey and his wife, Tammy, and Gary and his wife, Judy; and six grandchildren: Nicole, Matthew, Andrew, Sarah, Benjamin, and Ryan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19825 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Thomas' name to Epworth United Methodist Church at the address listed above.
