Richard Roy Rowe "Bucky"'s Obituary
Richard R. “Bucky” Rowe, age 83, of Bridgeville, DE passed away on December 23, 2010 at home surrounded by the presence of his family. Mr. Rowe attended Bridgeville Schools and Beacom Business College. He worked as a clerk in the freight office for the Pennsylvania Railroad prior to joining the DuPont Company, where he retired after 39 years as a Senior Engineer.
He was very active for many years at all levels within youth baseball and basketball programs in the area. Bucky loved the beach, golfing and attending Delmarva Shorebirds games with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Edna Rowe, in July 2007; mother Jane Rowe and sister Grace Husky both of Bridgeville, and brother Lawrence Rowe of Seaford. He is survived by two sons, Kevin R. Rowe of Bridgeville, DE; and Gregory L. Rowe and his wife Kyna of Seaford, DE; grandson Brandon Rowe of Indianapolis, IN and granddaughter Sarah Taylor of Phoenix, AZ.
Funeral services, with Rev. Diane Melson officiating. will be held on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be private in Bridgeville Cemetery, Bridgeville, DE.
