I had the honor and pleasure of reporting to Dick Marino at SBS during the 1982 - 1985 timeframe and I vividly remember him as an outstanding leader and exemplary one-of-a-kind human being. He always showed up with the "right attitude"....not a cheerleader, just a straight shooter who found a way to remain positive even on the worst days. You never had any doubts as to what he thought of you, whether good or bad....but he always seemed to find a way to bring out the best.
We battled each other to near-exhaustion on the racquetball courts at the Sporting Cub across from SBS Headquarters, then solved problems that had puzzled us...and I seem to recall having "a few" chili dogs with beer at the Vienna Inn on Rte.123.
Great years. Great memories....with a great man. Never forgotten.
RIP Dick Marino.
