Richard C. Harlow, age 66, of Lewes, DE, passed away in the comfort of his home on Sunday, July 15, 2007. He was born in London, England on September 25, 1940, son of the late Eric and Muriel Harlow and the Godson of his beloved Auntie Belle. He survived the Blitz.
He was a member of the Guild of Master Craftsman, he was an artist, a restorer of fine porcelain for the Smithsonian, the Blair House and many other respected institutions. Richard was an avid fan of all types of music, having played guitar and harmonica in various bands in England and locally. He also had a fine voice and had sung in several local choirs.
He had tremendous respect for the sea and was an avid fisherman; he won many awards both in England and Delaware. He also adored his flower garden that had many admirers.
He was a successful participant in all aspects of AA and felt it was important to give back as much as possible by leaving his door open for anyone who needed him. He left this world with a deep sense of spirituality and inner peace.
He is survived by his daughter, Ulla Harlow; his son, Peter Harlow; his former wife, Marketta; his companion Pamela Egnatovich and her daughter Amy; and his much beloved cat Wanquer; and a never ending network of loving friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 19, 1 PM, at Fisherman's Wharf. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
As Richard felt in his heart, in the words of Kahlil Grbran: "For what is it to die, but to stand naked in the wind and melt into the sun? And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered? Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs then shall you truly dance." -- The Prophet
