Richard Nelson Crone's Obituary
Richard N. Crone, age 76, Bay Colony, Dagsboro, DE, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE.
Born in Nebraska, he taught Physics in Nebraska and Virginia before joining NASA. Dick was the Public Affairs Officer at Goddard Space Flight Center. In retirement, he belonged to the Fenwick Island Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife Fifi; sons Erik Crone of Pateley Bridge, UK and Steven and wife Gretchen Crone of Chicago, IL; Ron and wife Lora Snider of Richmond, KY; and Jeff and wife Tena Snider of Fredericksburg, VA. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Entombment will be held Tuesday, June 2, 11:00 AM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville, DE (www.parsellfuneralhomes.com)
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Dick's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
