Richard E. Clark's Obituary
Richard E. Clark, age 77, of Frankford, DE, formerly of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 after a long illness at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. He was born in Lewistown, PA on September 25, 1937, son of Helen Marie (Britcher) Clark of Carlisle, PA and the late Robert Joseph Clark.
Mr. Clark graduated from Green Park High School in Landisburg, PA and later from Stevens Trade School in Lancaster, PA. He served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Clark embarked on a lifelong career with the Lear Industries formerly Masland Industries in Carlisle, PA, retiring in 1996 as a Maintenance Supervisor.
Mr. Clark loved boating and fishing on the Delaware waters. He also enjoyed hunting and taking road trips with his family. Mr. Clark will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Clark is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Edythe A. Clark; a son, Robert O. Clark and his wife Lori of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren: Kendra LeAnn Clark, Austin John Oakley Clark, Robert Garrett Clark and Morgan Crowell; a sister, Nancy Searer of Sebring, FL; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, 34874 Atlantic Avenue, Ocean View, DE 19970, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Clark's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
