A memory of Lorraine and her pop pop and grandmom. Lorraine spent a lot of time with her grandparents. She loved hanging on the back porch with my dad and talking politics.
I have many memories of Ray and his family. We had many good times when we lived in Toby Farms. The parties at my house and yours, swimming out back and the games we played. You will be missed. My sincere condolences to Marie, Lynn, Lisa, Stacey and the rest of the family. I hope that a lifetime of warm and loving memories will help ease your sadness. Praying for the family. Never met you face to face but you called me once (knowing I took care of my lawn) letting me know it was beginning to turn brown due to the hot weather. I was a part-timer at the time and called you on the phone to thank you. I thank you again Ray....All the best to your family...RIP my friend
I met Ray from his wife Marie when I worked with her at Riddle hospital, whenever he was there for doctor appointment or to pick up Marie he always stopped in. I love our conversations and he would always make me laugh. I would joke with him and Marie and say if something happens to you I'm grabbing on to ray. He would laugh ,He was such a nice guy very gentle very soft spoken. He will be sadly missed by many. Rest in peace Ray. ♥️
I feel bad that I won’t be able to make it to Lewes to pay my respects to Mr. Spykerman. But I do want to send my condolences to Mrs. Spykerman, Lynn and Lisa and the whole family. You are in my prayers for comfort during this time.
I do have a story, but might not be appropriate to post here. But I will say, as a youngster, I’m not sure he liked me. I always hoped he did because I had a lot of respect for him. Then decades later, as silly as this sounds, he “friended” me on Facebook. That meant a lot to me.
