Raymond E. Falgowski's Obituary
Raymond E. Falgowski, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully, on September 4, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born May 13, 1948, to the late Edward and Catherine (Tomlinson) Falgowski in Wilmington, DE. Ray was the oldest of four children and attended St. Elizabeth School and Church.
After graduation, Ray proudly served our country as a Sargent in the U.S. Army. Soon after his honorable discharge Ray met and married his best friend, Ginny. Together they raised their three boys, Craig, Neil, and Phil. Raising his sons and watching them grow into fine men was his most treasured accomplishment.
After retiring from the United Parcel Service, Ray and Ginny moved permanently to Lewes Beach, where Ray enjoyed more fishing and hunting with his family and friends. Being the devote Catholic, Ray was a very active member of St. Jude the Apostle Church, where he was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus and a past Grand Knight for Monsignor Desmond Council.
Carrying that strong Catholic faith helped Ray persevere during his illness and serving him in going to his final HOME.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Ginny, his three sons Craig, Neil (Angela) and Phil (Michelle), his brothers Edmond (Debbie), Ken (Cindy), and his sister Christine, and sister-in-law Janice Brierley, and a host of nieces and nephews. Ray is also survived by his loving grandchildren that will always feel his love, strength, and guidance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
