Rane Houston Boslet's Obituary
Rane Houston Boslet, age 30, of Georgetown, DE, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 10, 2020. He was born on April 13, 1989 in Miami, FL, son of Lorraine Boslet of Lewes, DE and Houston Terry of Birmingham, AL.
Rane grew up in Lake Placid, NY until 2000, when he, his mother, and brother moved to Lewes, Delaware to be closer to family. Rane will be remembered for his caring and kind heart. He often stopped at his grandmother’s house to check in on her and his uncle. Rane loved going to movie theaters with his mother to see the latest films, and the kid in him still loved playing video games in his spare time. Since Rane was a little boy he loved to tinker with things, taking things apart, seeing how they worked, and putting them back together. This is what probably led him to working on cars. A newly discovered passion of Rane's was Jiu Jitsu.
Rane met the love of his life, Jennifer Pineyro, while working at Home Goods. Last year they purchased their first home together and started their life as a couple. Rane then found his place working at I.G. Burton Auto mall doing what he loved most, working with cars. If you knew Rane, you loved him and you knew he loved you too.
Rane will be missed for his goofy sense of humor, his quarky smile that always made you wonder what he was up to, and his love of animals.
Rane was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gordon Boslet of Lewes, DE; his cousin, Jocelynne Boslet of Lewes, DE; his half-sister, Quanada Alexander of Birmingham, AL; his paternal grandparents, William Terry and Jimmie Lee Goodman; and his loyal canine companion, Kumar. He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Boslet of Lewes, DE; his father, Houston Terry of Birmingham, AL; his brother, Zachariah Boslet of Plattsburgh, NY; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Boslet of Lewes, DE; his half-sisters: Nikia Alexander and Shyla Johnson of Birmingham, AL; and several aunts, uncles, cousins. and friends.
Rane’s passing has been a difficult one, especially for his family who loved him greatly and will deeply miss him. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services will be private. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Rane’s memory to the Delaware SPCA, 455 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713.
