Ramon A. Casanova's Obituary
Ramon A. Casanova age 91 of Milton, DE, formerly of Cockeysville, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 01, 2010 at Delaware Hospice Center of Milford He was born in Vieques, PR, on Sunday, December 15, 1918, son of the late Ramon and Catalina (Calzada) Casanova. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Yolanda (Pinzon) Casanova.
Mr. Casanova was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. He later worked for the U.S. Navy as a civilian as a welder in Panama and Puerto Rico. He then accepted a position with Stak Kiss Caribe, Inc. and retired as a mechanical engineer.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Cockeysville, MD, he enjoyed working with stained glass and loved to sing and dance. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother and uncle and will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by three daughters: Sandra Casanova of Milton, DE, Velma Casanova of Potomac, MD and Lillian Roach of Dover, DE. eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three brothers: Francisco, Juan and Jorge Casanova and three sisters: Socorro Mangual and Antonia and Teresa Casanova.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville, MD, 21030.
Family suggests memorial contributions to: Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
