Ralph E. Domenic's Obituary
Ralph Edward Domenic , age 84, of Milton, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at his late residence. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 21, 1929, son of the late Ralph E. Domenic and Helene (Alberts) Domenic. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan S. Domenic in 1993 and two brothers, Robert and Ronald Domenic.
Mr. Domenic proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1946-1947 and then entered the US Army from which he retired in 1967 after 21 years of service. During his time in the service he was a Helicopter Pilot and served during WW II, Korea and Vietnam. Following his military career he worked as an engineer for Boeing Helicopter for 22 years in Ridley Park, PA, where he retired in 1989.
Mr. Domenic was a Member of the American Helicopter Society and the American Legion Post # 28, and former member of the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge # 2540.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years this month, Rhoda (Kline) Domenic;
his son, Ralph E Domenic and wife Jan of Claymont, DE; two daughters, Christine M. Price and husband Tom of Townsend, DE and Helena Domenic Wills and husband Sean of Exton, , PA; three step children, Mark Nardone and wife Dina of Wilmington, DE, Catherine Nardone of San Francisco, CA and Andrew Nardone of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 1, 2013 at 12 noon at the Sussex County Bible Church, 22516 Harbeson Road, Harbeson, DE where friends may call beginning at 10 AM. Military honors will follow the services at church. Private entombment will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
