Ralph E. Batchelor's Obituary
Ralph Emerson Batchelor, 71, of Georgetown, DE, passed away on June 30, 2010 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was born on September 1, 1938 in Wilson, North Carolina.
Mr. Batchelor was as a private investigator for many years. He worked for the grocery store A&P Loss Prevention Department and for Mystery Shoppers USA of DelMarVa Peninsula. Mr. Batchelor served his country with the U.S. Army, 101 Airborne Division during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joan A. (Lang) Batchelor who passed away in June 2009; a daughter Crystal Batchelor in 2003; and two brothers.
He is survived by two sons: Ralph E. Batchelor, Jr. of Bethel, DE and James E. Batchelor of Lanexa, VA; four step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter and a brother-in-law, Robert Scheufele of Baltimore, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joan A. (Lang) Batchelor (2009), a daughter Crystal Batchelor (2003) and two brothers.
All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Lutheran Church, Omar Road, Frankford, DE.
