Phillip Arena's Obituary
Philip F. Arena, age 73, of Lewes, DE, died Monday, November 21, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Arena was born in Rochester, NY, son of the late Frank D. and Jennie(D'Angelo) Arena.
He was a graduate of Jeneseo State College, New York with a high school teaching degree. He had served as a high school soccer coach, and as the school board president for many years in the Monroe County, NY school district. He had owned and operated several successful auto dealerships in New York state. He retired to the Lewes area in 1989 and owned and operated Market Place Signs and Copies. Mr. Arena served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Arena is survived by one daughter Amy Arena of Schenectady, NY; three sons: Christopher P. Arena of N. Conway, NY; David A. Arena of Coatesville, PA; & Paul A. Arena of Lewes, DE; a brother, Carl Arena of Honeoye Falls, NY; and a granddaughter Reilly Arena.
He was predeceased by his wife Suzonne Catherine Arena in October 2004.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE. Services and burial will be private at Delaware Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Epworth United Methodist Church Building Fund, 30 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
