Philip Rivera's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Philip Rivera on Sunday, December 22, 2024. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Born in the Borough of Manhattan, New York City, on November 23, 1943. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria Rivera; four children: Dana Rivera Federkiewicz, Crystal Ann Rivera Schocket, John Gately, Deana Lisk,; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Domingo “Tito” and Lariano “Bobby” Quinones.
Philip had a distinguished career at AT&T, where he retired after many years managing communications projects worldwide. He was part of the team that developed procedures for the restoration of undersea Trans-Atlantic cables, which were vital in connecting the United States to Europe.
A man of great warmth and generosity, Philip was deeply loved by his family and friends. He gave his love unconditionally to all those around him, and his family—by blood and by choice—was always his top priority.
Our "Pip" was cherished as the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His memory will forever live in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services or burial.
