Peggyann Lackus' Obituary
Peggyann “Peach” (Owens) Lackus, age 88 of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, passed away on August 5, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1934, in Schuylkill County, PA, daughter of the late Jim and Emma (Koch) Owens.
Peach worked in the helicopter manufacturing industry for many years. She called Rehoboth Beach home for many years, enjoying all coastal living had to offer. Peach was a loving and devoted wife to her husband John Lackus, for 57 years before his passing on September 30, 2014. She was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peach was predeceased by her siblings: Jean Korn, William Owens, Jackie Strait, Connie Brand and Dot Watson. She is survived by her sister, Linda Whalen; her many nieces, nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews; and her many friends from both Rehoboth Beach, DE and Delaware County, PA, especially her best pal, Judy King of Rehoboth Beach; and her nephew Michael DeJesse and the entire DeJesse family of Delaware County, PA.
Services and interment will be held privately. Final care has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
