Peccolia G. Simmons' Obituary
Peccolia “Colia”G. Simmons, age 74, formerly of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. She was born on March 30, 1947, in Norfolk, VA, daughter of the late Eugene and Peccolia Spencer.
Mrs. Simmons was the co-owner and operator of White Line Waste Removal and Recycling in Georgetown, DE, from 1978 to 1992, and a real estate agent with Wilgus & Associates in the late 70s and early 80s. In addition, she also co-owned Fence, Doors, and More in Georgetown with her daughter. Mrs. Simmons had many interests and hobbies, including cooking, reading, and shopping. She was a member of the Millsboro Red Hat Society and loved her many dogs. Above all, Mrs. Simmons cherished time with those she held most dear, particularly her adored grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Grant Simmons, in 2002. She is survived by her children: Laura Ritter (Brad) of Harbeson, DE and Brian Simmons (Tracey) of Rehoboth Beach, DE; her grandchildren: Amanda Ritter, Adam Ritter, Aaron Ritter, Lauren Dietterick, and Nick Grovola; and her great-grandson, Santino Grovola.
