It is with deep sadness that I write this note. Paula was so much more to me than all of her outstanding accomplishments. I always marveled at all of the kindness and giving she shared with her Epworth community, and the local community. When I lived on School Lane one day she asked me if I had any winter coats that could be donated to several of her students who did not have a coat. Happily I was able to help her out. This is just one memory I have of being her friend. The most shocking memory though, I have of Paula's many accomplishments, is when Rev. Vicky Starnes told me that she had been making the communion bread for so many years! I was really shocked! . I have carried that memory with me I think because for some reason it "jolted through my mind" that her baking of the bread was really to me a true dedication----I guess that maybe because I was personally on the receiving end of her dedication to God and Epworth. That is just one of the many memories I have of Paula.
We have lost an exceptional Godly woman, and I pray that Our Lord is comforting all of her family with peace and grace.
Blessings,
Suzanne Landon
