Emily, Doug, and Seth------Where do I begin to thank Paul for all the years of support, mentoring, advice, guidance, and most of all friendship he gave me? Emily, you and Paul took me "by the hand" and introduced me to LIU 18, Luzerne County, and the reality of being a TVI, or in those days: Teacher of the Visually Handicapped. Paul gave me the confidence and assurance to be the best teacher I could be. Emily---I remember the Grogge Shoppe days---what fun we had and that fun continued. I could go on and on. . .
Paul definitely left his mark and his legacy will live on. Doug---I am thankful you followed in his footsteps. Seth---sorry I don't really know you but I know what you are made of---keep your father's memories alive. For those of us in vision, we know Eleanor Long is Mother Vision. Paul started the vision program at LIU 18 in the 1970's, so in my "eyes", I always think of him as Father Vision, especially at Luzerne IU 18. Thank you Paul----Your
legacy will live on, and you are remembered with respect and admiration.
