Paul A. Lange M.D.'s Obituary
Paul A. Lange M.D., age 77 of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at his home. He was born on June 26, 1941 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Nathan and Dorothy (Santowsky) Lange.
Dr. Lange graduated from the University of Chicago School of Medicine with his medical degree and license in psychiatry. Following his education, he was drafted by the US Army, in which he honorably served during the Vietnam War. Dr. Lange changed countless lives for the better as a psychiatrist in Washington, DC, and later in Georgetown, DE, retiring after 30 plus years of dedicated practice. He was a talented photographer and an avid golfer, and he loved going to the beach and being on the water, making Rehoboth Beach his permanent home in 2002. Above all, Dr. Lange was a family man, cherishing time spent with beloved family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Dr. Lange was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Lange. He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Helen "Kit" Fenerty-Lange of Rehoboth Beach, DE; his son, Robert Lange of Bethesda, MD; his daughters: Michelle Lange of Los Angeles, CA and Jill Lange Liss and her husband Harrison of Denver, CO; his stepson, Timothy Shawn Fenerty of Huntington Valley, PA; his step daughter, Katelyn Nicole Fenerty of Bucks County, PA; and his grandchildren: Alexandra Lange, Nikki Lange and Jack Liss.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Dr. Lange's memory to the SPCA: 22918 DuPont Boulevard; Georgetown, DE 19947.
