Patricia B. Petrik's Obituary
Patricia Boothe Petrik, age 78, of Fenwick Island, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2012 at her residence. She was born June 2, 1934 in Eufala, AL, daughter of the late Alice Marie and Theodore Boothe.
Mrs. Petrik graduated from St. Martin's High School in Baltimore. She spent years working at Franklin Square Hospital as an administrative assistant; she retired 20 years ago and relocated to the Cape Windsor community outside of Fenwick Island, DE. While raising her family, she lived in the Parkville-Overlea area. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of the St. Michael the Archangel Church in Overlea, MD. She belonged to the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary and orchestrated the annual Church Bazaar for a number of years. She was also involved with the Loyola High School Mother’s Club for eight years while her children attended school.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gerard F. Petrik, a 1957 graduate of Loyola College. She is survived by her three children: Gerard F. "Rod" Petrik, Jr. and his wife Judy of Severna Park, MD, Mary Susan King and her husband James T. of Bishopville, MD, and Martin Petrik and his wife Hollie of Columbia MD; eight grandchildren: Colleen Petrik of Houston, TX, Andrew Petrik of Lutherville, MD, Patricia King , Hannah King, Alexandra King and Jared King, all of Bishopville, MD, Skylar Petrik and Logan Petrik, both of Columbia MD; a brother, Charles Boothe of Eufala, AL; and a sister-in-law, Mary Anne Petrik of Milton DE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 2 Willow Avenue (off Belair Road), Baltimore, MD 20206. The family will receive guests after 10:00 AM. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Ocean View, DE.
