When I was much younger , spending the summer in Stony Brook, Long Island, Pat took my sister , Jeannette and I , were taken to the movies in Port Jefferson by Pat . I remember the movie " Not as a Stranger" with Frank Sinatra. We went to the lobby for popcorn out of a vending machine and proceeded to break the machine with popcorn all over the lobby. As good people we immediately ran back into our seats and didn't say a word. I will miss Pat , a great person and companion to Helen.
I have spent a lot of time this past week thinking of all the times i would visit with you Uncle Peter, Laura and PJ when they were so young. I always loved going to visit with you at Waterside. I remember one of the visits you bought me a t shirt that said :"Incomparable in Manhattan".The holidays and special occasions that you all spent with us growing up will always remain special to me. I wished that if i ever became a mom, that i'd be half as good to my child as you had been with you yours that would be good. Your were and always will remain to me a force to be reckoned with . I am so lucky i had you in my life. I wish we had spent more time together since Connor was born. It meant so much to me that you came to visit us at the hospital when he was born. Spending holidays at Regina's, weekends at mom's. I am glad we got to see each other as often as we did. I'll miss & love you forever. -----Jacqueline
