Betsy Grillo
Pat and I met when we were 23 (that was 60 years ago). She was dating Vic and I was dating Charlie and we spent a lot of dating time together. We liked and respected each other and soon bonded as sisters. For the first 30 years, there was hardly a day that we did not talk either in person or by phone. My children always thought of Pat as their special and ever present Aunt. After Charlie retired and we moved to South Carolina, we did not lose touch, but got together only for visits and special occasions. After a time, the distance became too much and we moved back to the DE, PA, MD area and for several years the visits, shopping, lunches and special occasions became more frequent. There are too many special and emotional memories to share here. Unfortunately age and circumstance played a nasty trick on our bodies and minds. For the past 3 years there have been fewer, but bittersweet and lovely occasions to be together. Now Pat is with the one true love of her life, Vic, and I hope they are running on a beach somewhere.
I love you Vic, Elaine, Miki and Laura. Aunt Betsy
