Patricia A. Gibbons, age 82 of Lewes, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA. She was born on March 26, 1938 in NYC, NY.
Mrs. Gibbons was very active in Alcoholics Anonymous.
Mrs. Gibbons was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Blankenship. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, John F. Gibbons; her beloved step-children: Jack Gibbons and his wife Celia of NYC, NY; Frank Gibbons of NYC, NY; Danny Radice and his wife Christine, and Brian Gibbons and his wife Lyssette of NYC, NY; her sister, Julie DiMauro of Lewes, DE; her grandchildren: Devon, Antonella, Sarah, Vincent, Amanda, Gabrielle, Alexis, Billy, and Kirsten; and her great-grandchild, Hailey.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
Due to the dangers associated with the spread of Covid 19, all attendees shall wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times while attending any aspect of the funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mrs. Gibbons' memory to the NYC Fire Department Burn Center, 21 Asch Loop, Bronx, NY 10475 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
