Patricia A. Ford's Obituary
Patricia A. Ford, 77, of Ocean View, DE, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Renaissance Health Care, Millsboro, DE. She was born October 2, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA daughter of the late Walter J. and Margaret E. Axford.
Mrs. Ford and her late husband moved to the beach from Boothwyn, PA in the late 1980's. Pat was a member of the Art class at the Cape Henlopen Senior Center who enjoyed painting in all mediums. She also enjoyed gardening and reading. She was also a volunteer at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Mrs. Ford was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Ralph L. Ford (1995) and a daughter Linda L. Ford ( 1954 ). She is survived by two daughters: Lora L. Jones and her husband Richard E. Jones of Havertown, PA and Deborah A. Ford of Reston, VA; six grandchildren: Eric Lewis, Leigh Crawford, Matthew Crawford and wife Christina, Kristen Ramsey and husband Kent, Richard L. Jones, and Amanda Jones; and two great-grandchildren: Ashley and Bryanna Ramsey.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010, 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, 34874 Atlantic Avenue, Ocean View, DE. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803 or Make A Wish Foundation, 3411 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
