Patricia Ann (Dukes) Foss' Obituary
Patricia Ann (Dukes) Foss, age 72, formerly of Baltimore, MD, Newport News, VA and Kissimmee, FL, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at The Hamptons At Cypress Station in Houston, TX. Mrs. Foss was born May 24, 1935 in Crawfordsville, IN, the daughter of the late Oakley and Leona (Bir) Dukes.
Mrs. Foss graduated from Sparrows Point High School, Baltimore, MD. She lived in many different localities and worked as a Waitress, a Licenced Practical Nurse and as a beautician while living in Virginia and Florida. She enjoyed Karaoke singing, Duck Pin bowling, gardening and NASCAR racing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Dukes. She is survived by her seven children: James F. McEllis and his wife Patty of Folsom, CA, Charles O. McElhose and his wife Theresa of Baltimore, MD, Cynthia Fann and her husband Kenny of Houston, TX, Ronald K. McElhose, Sr. and his wife Valerie of Houston, TX, William D. Hodges of Newport News, VA, Dale A. Hodges and his wife Nancy of Gosport, IN and Mark A. Hodges of Baltimore, MD; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, William Dukes and his wife Barbara of Hummelstown, PA, Donald Dukes and his wife Cindy of Lewes, DE, Darrell Dukes and his wife Heidi of Milton, DE, and Darlene Tzannakos of Lewes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 26, 11 AM, at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, DE Route 1 north of Five Points, Lewes with the Rev. James Hreha as celebrant. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to Mass and on Monday, June 25, 6-8 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Interment will be at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton, DE.
