Patricia Mary Curlett's Obituary
Patricia Mary Holloway Curlett of Bridgeville, DE., passed peacefully into the arms of her heavenly father on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Lofland Park in Seaford, DE. She was born in Richmond, VA on December 3, 1923, daughter of the late Sam and Maude Holloway.
Patricia moved to Delaware as a teen and met the love of her life. She married David Curlett and together they served the Lord faithfully and raised their family.
Family was precious to her and she often cooked favorite meals and desserts for them. She also enjoyed playing games with family and cherished friends. In the summer she could often be found engaging in a backyard game of croquet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, David Porter Curlett in 2006; her brother, Vernon Holloway and her sister, Jean Esham. She is survived by her children, Lawrence (Marie) of Bridgeville, Bruce (Sue) of South Carolina, Raymond (Debby) of Bridgeville, Carol (Paul) of New Hampshire; a daughter-in-law Laura of Annapolis; grandchildren Eddie (Heather) of Annapolis, David of North Carolina, Karen Vailliencourt (Allen) of South Carolina, Diane Vance (Titus) of South Carolina, Michael (Crystal) of Bridgeville, Mark (Laura) of Newark, Aimee Cournoyer of New Hampshire, and Megan Cournoyer of New Hampshire; and 14 great-grandchildren, Will, Ryan, Victoria, Christian, Josiah, Gabe, Shiloh, Moriah, Silas, Nate, Nick, Jake, Hannah and Sarah. She is also survived by nephews Bryan (Tissel) Esham of East New Market and Vernon (Dottie) Esham of Salisbury.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends may call beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow services at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions can be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 22860 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
