Patricia G. Broillet's Obituary
Patricia G. Broillet, age 91, of Milton, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Beebe Healthcare.
Patricia was born on September 11, 1934, in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late James and Hilda (Eckert) Adams. A proud graduate of Elizabethtown High School, she was honored as the school’s Mayflower Queen, an early reflection of her grace and character.
While in high school, Patricia met the love of her life, Jean Baptiste Broillet, Jr., in the town square of Elizabethtown. They dated throughout their school years and both graduated the same year—Jean from Patton Trade School. Following his service in the United States Marine Corps, the couple married on May 1, 1955, in Elizabethtown. After their marriage, they made their home in Trenton, New Jersey, and later resided in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Their marriage of 62 years was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and devotion.
After high school, Patricia worked for Continental Press in Elizabethtown until her marriage. For many years, she dedicated herself fully to raising her family, creating a loving and stable home. Patricia's generosity of spirit extended beyond her own children through her work as a foster parent. She cared for numerous foster children over the years, sometimes welcoming up to three at a time into her home. Her reputation for compassion, patience, and excellence in caregiving was so well known that social service agencies often reached out to her in times of urgent need, trusting her completely with the care of vulnerable children.
Later in life, Patricia began a long and successful career as a property manager at Orange Wood Park Apartments, where she worked for 35 years. She managed 320 apartments with professionalism, dedication, and pride, and she considered this career one of her greatest personal accomplishments.
Above all else, Patricia’s first priority was always her family. She took immense pride in caring for those she loved and remained deeply engaged with the world around her. She was exceptionally knowledgeable about current events, enjoyed spending time on her computer—especially scrolling through Facebook—and loved to travel. Cruising and visiting Disney World were among her favorite pastimes, and she was an enthusiastic annual passholder. She was also an avid fan of watching her grandchildren play sports and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jean Baptiste Broillet, Jr.; and her brother, Terence Adams.
Patricia is survived by her loving children: Michele Paradysz (Dave) of Milton, Delaware, and Jean Broillet III (Kathie) of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania; her cherished grandchildren: Trevor Paradysz (Jaclyn) of Millsboro, Delaware, Tyler Paradysz (Kylie) of Millsboro, Delaware, Jean Broillet IV of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Matthew Broillet of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and Alexa Cervone (Scott) of Avondale, Pennsylvania; and her adored great-grandchildren, Lucas and Avery Cervone. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Leonard; her sister-in-law, Martha Adams; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, located at 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958. Family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be held privately.
