Pastor William D. Woodhall's Obituary
Our family sadly announces the passing of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend William (Bill) Donald Woodhall of Lewes, Delaware, who entered into eternal rest in South Carolina on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the age of 89. Pastor Woodhall was born on February 5, 1933, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, son of the late Walter and Crissie Viete Woodhall. He was also preceded in death by his wife Edna Woodhall and a sister Ethel Merryman.
He was a devoted pastor of First Baptist Church in Lewes, Delaware for 35 plus years and at Central Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee for 4 years.
He is survived by his son Mark Woodhall and two grandchildren John Woodhall and Alyssa Woodhall.
His family will celebrate Bill’s life and homegoing beginning with a viewing on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church located at 1001 Kings Hwy, Lewes, DE. where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial with military honors will be held at 2:00 pm at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware. Friends and family are welcome to visit and share remembrances of our lost loved one.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to First Baptist Church at 1001 Kings Hwy, Lewes, DE 19958 Building Fund or to the Tunnell Cancer Center, c/o Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE. The wearing of masks is optional.
