One vivid memory of Leo involved a motorcycle ride with my husband Warren around the northern reaches of Manhattan back in the mid-1960s. Leo's bike, equipped with custom fairings and other touring paraphernalia, loomed large against Warren's Honda cycle. But what a wild ride we had! Warren had known Leo for years, and I met his mother -- and enjoyed her cooking -- several times at their home in Forest Hills. And who could ever forget his letters from Europe; he filled every single space on the pages, and some of the text often spilled over onto the envelopes. Warren and Leo are probably already sharing stories. Jon, my sincere condolences.
I’m so sorry to hear about Leo. He was one of a kind! The stories and antidotes were endless and usually interesting lol He single handedly boosted my self esteem by giving me the nickname Silver Fox. He always made me feel better if I was blue. He would say “ oh if I was a little younger “ 😉 I hope they have a fast lane in heaven cause they’re gonna need one. RIP LEO ❤️
Words can’t describe this mans life’s experiences ... Jon and I became friends as young adults and it was always a treat to spend a few minutes discussing racing,flying,the mechanics of this or that.... oh and there was this “sauce” he was always making! You will be missed !

I am thankful I have been your friend for forty years. You were always the consummate storyteller with a cast of friends, each given a "pet name" by you. I feel truly blessed to be included in the bunch. You will be missed, Miss Debbie
Leo, there was only one Leo, I have a book in my head ,which Leo, gave to me over our 20 year friendship.Stories of past friends and Danny, and B.S.Bernie.My favorite story was the boat trip. Then there was Mr,Burdwall.and the film Bis.That was very good. But the most important part of his life was his son John,the pride and love he felt, was wonderful.
