Pamela Jane Bonderenko's Obituary
Pamela Jane Bonderenko
Pamela Jane Bonderenko, known to her friends as PJ, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with multiple myeloma.
PJ was a warm, loving and generous person who always placed the needs of others above her own. Those who had the good fortune to know her will always remember her immense kindness and beauty. PJ had a wonderful presence and the unique ability to make everyone she met feel like her best friend. Her delightful sense of humor and genuine love of people brought great joy to all those around her.
PJ is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Glen of Millville, Delaware; her 3 sons and their wives: Christopher and Anna of London, England; Corey and Danielle of Watertown, Connecticut; and Ryan and Eman of Rahway, New Jersey. She was the proud and loving grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren: Sebastian (20), Theo (17), Marley (19), Kaya (18), Giulia (11), and Gabriel (9). Bebe, as her grandchildren called her, adored her grandchildren all of whom gave her tremendous joy.
Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Daniel and Jane Billy of Clark, New Jersey, PJ was predeceased by her brother, Daniel. She graduated from Johnson Regional High School in Clark and dedicated many years to Franklin Elementary School of the Rahway public school system where she was affectionately known by the students as Mrs. B.
PJ was passionate about life. In addition to her love of entertaining family and friends, she looked forward to visiting new places and experiencing new adventures. Whether it was a road trip with grandchildren, taking a cruise, or visiting her favorite cities in Europe, PJ’s bags were always packed and ready to go.
PJ spent 21 years enjoying the Colorado mountains and the last 5 years walking the Delaware beaches. In Colorado she loved the majestic Rocky Mountains and all that living there had to offer. In Delaware she loved walking along the beaches taking in the sea, sun, sand and sunsets over the water. PJ often said that living in two such beautiful places made her feel like she was on vacation every day.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no viewing or services. To honor PJ’s memory, donations can be made to: Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, Delaware 19958, or call 1-302-644-2900, or go to their website at beebehealthcare.org. PJ’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her spirit will live on in the beautiful memories she created and the lives she touched.
