Palmer Eggert Prettyman's Obituary
Palmer Eggert Prettyman passed away at his home in Milton, DE on Friday, February 20, 2009. He was born in Morristown, NJ on March 31, 1935 to Harold Sr. and Evelyn (Kloeblen) Prettyman.
He was married to Marjorie "Peggy" Jane Mihalik on August 11, 1957. He is survived by his five children, Kevin, Pam, Chris, Scott, and Dale; his fifteen grandchildren, Kelly, Mitchell, Brandon, Ashley, Joshua, Kim, Kenneth, Taeten, Lance, Aubrey, Tiffany, Cassandra, Chelsea, Corrine, and Samantha; and his brother, Harold Jr.
Palmer graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He and Peggy raised their family in Rockaway, NJ and later, Poughkeepsie, NY. They retired in Milton in 1991. To Palmer, the most significant part of his life was his family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009, 10:00 A.M., at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 24, 7:00 to 9:00 PM and again on Wednesday, from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Pilottown Road, Lewes, DE.
