Paishence Layla Young's Obituary
Paishence Layla Young was born on May 31, 2007, in Fredericksburg VA and passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 18. She was the beloved youngest child of Martin Blain Young Jr. and Tracye Elain “Simien” Young.
A proud graduate of the Class of 2026 at Cape Henlopen High School, Paishence balanced school and work while excitedly preparing for her future with the Delaware Army National Guard. She had a beautiful passion for art, a creative spirit, and a love for life that touched everyone around her.
Paishence shared a special bond with her niece Xia and nephews Tylan and Owais, whom she loved deeply. She leaves behind her siblings Marco Antonio Roman, Jessica Elena Marie Roman, Tatiana Veronica Young, and Xavier Alexander Emanuel Young; her grandparents Luther Simien Jr., Cora Ann “Lenore” Simien, and Martin Blain Young Sr.; along with many loving relatives and friends, especially her Aunt Glenda Winstead.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Blain Young Jr. and Tracye Elain Young, and her grandmother Veronica Young.
Paishence’s light, love, and memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m.
