Norman Thomas Smith, III "Tom"'s Obituary
Norman Thomas Smith, III "Tom", age 64, of Lewes, DE passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. He was born June 29, 1953 in Greensboro, MD, son of the late, Norman T. Smith, Jr. and Mina Smith.
Tom worked most of his career as a Charter Boat Captain and many years at Baltimore Aircoil Co. as a foreman. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 17 in Lewes, DE. In his spare time, Tom loved to go fishing but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Edith "Edie" Smith of Lewes, DE; his three children: Norman T. Smith, IV and his wife Megan, Christel Hay and her husband Dean, and Bryan Cohen, all of Delaware; his eight grandchildren: Trent, Bryce, Grace, Levi, Ashley, Hannah, Hailey, and Sophia; his great grandson, Avery; his sister, Bonnie Carmine and her husband Jeff; his brother John Smith and his wife Ping; and his beloved dog, Maggie.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may visit beginning at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to the Delaware Veterans Home, 100 Delaware Veterans Blvd, Milford, DE 19963.
