Norman A. Powers' Obituary
Norman Alfred Powers, age 79, of Rehoboth Beach, DE. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD on Sat. Feb. 27, 2010. Mr. Powers had a long career as a registered pharmacist in the states of Connecticut, Maryland, Texas, and Tennessee. He was the creator of Associates of Clinical Pharmacology and was a research pharmacist for multiple companies for over 45 years. He served as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean Conflict in the Medical Corp.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Ella Mae Powers, eight children, 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday March 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Edmonds Catholic Church, King Charles and Laurel Streets, Rehoboth B each, DE. Friends may call on Monday evening from 7-9 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where prayers will begin at 8 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to Doctors Without Borders, 333 7th Avenue, 2nd Floor, New York, New York, 10001-5004.
