Norma Shirley (Johnson) Hellams, age 64, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 12, 1942 in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Norman F. Johnson and Audrey P. (Gibason) Johnson of Lewes, DE.
Mrs. Hellams had been employed for 20 years as an Administrative Assiastant with Cokesbury Village, Hockessin, DE. Mrs. Hellams and her husband moved to Lewes in 2000; they were high school sweethearts. She enjoyed fishing, playing the slots and bingo.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 46 years, Daniel M. Hellams; two sons, Jeffrey Hellams and his wife Ruth of California and Douglas Hellams of South Carolina; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call on Friday, June 1, 6-8 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
