Noel Calvin Meadows' Obituary
Noel Calvin Meadows, age 87, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. He was born Monday, October 01, 1928 in South Boston, VA, to Allison and Catherine Meadows.
Mr. Meadows worked for 26 years at Delmarva Power. He started his career as a lineman and worked his way up as a trouble serviceman and foreman. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball and coaching little league. In his spare time he enjoyed going for walks and runs and he also took pride in taking care of his yard and landscape. He followed NASCAR, loved traveling to Florida, listening to country music and playing with his grandchildren. Mr. Meadows was a member of the Delmarva Power Federal Credit Union and the IBEW Local 24. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Jessie and Jimmy Glass. He is survived by his loving devoted wife of 41 years, Nancy Meadows of Rehoboth Beach, DE; son & daughter-in-law, Randy and Cherryl Meadows of Anderson, SC; son & daughter-in-law, Steve and Carol Meadows, of Charlotte, NC; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bill Ohlmacher, of Adamstown, MD; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Nancy Jones of Los Gatos, CA; Grandchildren: Troy Meadows, Kinzie Meadows, Crystal Meadows, Scott Ohlmacher, Megan Ohlmacher, David Jones and Mary Jones; and nephew, Allison Glass of Jackson, MS.
