Nelson Harry Parker's Obituary
Nelson "Joe" Harry Parker, Sr., age 78, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. He was born in Baltimore, MD on March 16, 1937, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson H. Parker.
Mr. Parker proudly served in the U.S. Army and later went on to college for two years. He enjoyed a 47 year career with the MTA, retiring at the age of 62. He loved watching football with the Baltimore Ravens being his favorite team. Mr. Parker had a large collection of gems and was talented at making jewelry.
Mr. Parker is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Betty Parker of Georgetown, DE; three stepsons: Johnny, Joey and Kenny Beck; a stepdaughter, Jessica Beck; two grandsons: Nathan Daniel and Briana Beck; a loyal canine companion, Jake.
