Nancy M. Kratz's Obituary
Nancy M. Kratz, 81, of Milton, DE, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on January, 4, 1934, daughter of the late Joseph Lambert and Anna Good.
Nancy lived in District Heights, MD for over 23 years, and was quite involved with the Boys and Girls Club. She was an excellent cook and was very dedicated to her family, especially her grandchildren. In 1989, she moved to Milton, DE and lived in Oakridge Development for 26 years. Nancy was a member of the Beebe Medical Center Auxiliary for over 17 years and participated in many fund-raising ventures for that organization. She was a strong advocate of establishing a pulmonary rehabilitation center at Beebe Medical Center. Nancy also delivered Meals on Wheels for Sussex County.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph Kratz; her daughter, Lisa and her husband Joseph Thomas of Fredericksburg, VA; her three sons: Joseph of Leesburg, VA, Michael of Oahu, HI and Matthew of Milton, DE; six grandchildren: Nicholas Kratz of Brooklyn, NY, Danielle Kratz of Savannah, GA, Lily and Steven Thomas of Fredericksburg, VA, and Kenneth and David Kratz of Purcellville VA; and a great-grandson, Jude Kratz of Brooklyn, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January, 4, 2016, at 11:30 AM, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 202 Edward St, Georgetown, DE,19947, where friends may visit beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment will immediately follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to the Living Liver Donor Fund, P.O. Box 7841, Fredericksburg, VA 22404 which will support the liver donor for grand-daughter Lily Thomas' transplant.
